On Our Radar: Mirra, Seattle

TAPPING INTO THE rising demand for interactive experiences, Mirra, a virtual reality (VR) gaming arena and eatery, opened its first location in Seattle. Created in collaboration with architecture firm Graphite Design Group (Seattle), the 10,708-square-foot venue features exposed brick, steel accents and velour materials, creating a relaxed, industrial-inspired aesthetic. The seating wrapped around the arena floor lets the games take center stage and invites guests to join in the fun. On the floor, players engage in team-based games using wearable VR technology, while the action in the virtual world is projected on panoramic screens for spectators to enjoy. When guests need a break from gaming, shareable plates and cocktails are available from the full-service kitchen and bar. Combining a modern dining spot with cutting-edge technology, Mirra seamlessly merges the digital and physical worlds into one cohesive experience.
